The name says it all: The new Kannegiesser PowerPress redefines
moisture extraction in continuous batch tunnel washers.
The development objectives of the PowerPress:
- Moisture Extraction Performance - One of the
most important development objectives of a modern moisture extraction
press is optimum performance with all types of laundry, even for
very short wash cycles and delicate articles. The subsequent energy
savings during drying and ironing are considerable and high performance
hydraulics and control system ensure gentle treatment of all textiles.
- Reliability - A high degree of reliability,
even if the press is overloaded or when processing types of laundry
liable to fall apart, is vital for the practical operation of
the equipment.
- Safe Operation - Overloading, bulky items
and batches that fall apart easily are the norm. The PowerPress
safety sensor technology is one of the features which set new
operational standards.
- Water Recycling and Hygiene - to maximize
water savings, it is necessary for the water extracted in the
press to be used in the continuous batch washer, even in the event
of any faults or color changes. This requires a large recycling
volume.
- Simple Operation and Easy Maintenance Requirements
- The PowerPress is controlled by a high performance yet easy
to operate control system. A clearly designed machine construction
with the highest material standards and a completely newly designed
collection tank make maintenance very simple. The PowerPress remains
clean and requires minimal maintenance.
The Models:
All PowerPress models operate with a batch diameter of 1004 mm. The
volume of the PowerPress container generally permits overloading by
up to 10% for towels. This means that the PowerPress, in connection
with a PowerTrans with a safe overload system, no longer slows down
the entire production line.
TURBO – a new performance class
All PowerPress models in 40 or 56 bar version are available, at
additional cost, in a completely newly designed TURBO version. This
makes it possible for continuous batch tunnel washers with a shorter
wash cycle time to achieve minimum moisture retention, leading to
considerable increases in performance and savings in energy costs.
