Evaporation Capacity
Factors for a high evaporation capacity:
- 1 roller, 2 meter diameter - The diameter in combination with the 190 ° wrap around results in a large contact area required for evaporation.
- Heat transfer of the steam to the inner heating band face -The large number of narrow flow channels in an extremely flat hollow space generates high flow speeds of the steam, which in turn hardly permit the formation of a condensation film which would hamper the heat transition. In addition, the generated condensate is led directly to the bottom of the chest, instead of in a winding pattern, as with conventional chests. The build up of thick condensate films, particularly in the steam pockets of previous designs, has been overcome with heating band technology.
- Heat conductivity of the heating band - The thin wall thicknesses of the heating band sheet steel improves the heat conductivity.
- Padding independent maximization of the ironing path - The padding thickness is reduced as the ironer operating duration continues. As a result, the contact path between heating surface and the ironer roller decreases. The freely suspended heating bands feature a high resilience and continuously create a snug fit around the rollers, comparable to the function method of permanently and automatically adjusting braking belts. The result: A permanently constant ironing path, independent of the degree of wear on the padding.
- Uniformly high contact pressure - The contact pressure considerably influences the heat transfer from the heating surface to the damp cloth. Compared to the conventional chests, the flexible heating band permits a contact pressure which is more than 40% higher. Unlike the conventional chest, this pressure is applied on the full surface.
