You can expect top-quality, high performance with the GEM High Speed Feeder, which handles 1200 pieces per hour and is designed to consistently meet the highest standards. This exceptional performance is combined with feeding technology designed to protect textiles and to ensure quality.

Maximum performance with spreading technology designed to protect textiles.

  • This is achieved but first automatically measuring the width of the item of laundry, then moving it at high speed to the pre-calculated optimum holding and braking point.
  • First class feeding quality thanks to a sensitive spreading technique, vacuum transfer bar to transfer the leading edge of the piece, a work top vacuum, as well as optimum smoothing and shaking out effects.
  • The precisely controlled machine components and the avoidance of using wear and tear parts mean that performance and quality are maintained with considerable consistency. The wheels turn in the machine's brain and not in the mechanical works.
  • High performance is available die to optimum utilization of the ironer. Therefore, large pieces can either be processed in 1-lane operation only or in combined 1- and 2-lane operation.

Spreading Technology
After the two corners of the piece have been inserted into the clamps, a sensor moves towards the piece's loop. The 1st clamp starts to move and a right angle triangle is formed for a split second of which two sides are known. Pythagoran's theorem can be used to calculate the 3rd side of the triangle. The result is that as soon as the 1st clamp is started and before the 2nd clamp begins to move, the computer knows the width of the piece to be fed - whether it is a wide or a narrow item - and precisely controls the final positions of the clamps as well as the braking points.
Each clamp is driven separately ensuring the shortest possible travelling distances in both directions which is a prerequisite for a high degree of availability of the clamps.
The clamp carriage drives are practically maintenance free and are not subject to wear and tear. Spare parts such as couplings, guide rollers, cables, etc., often used in conventional ironers are not used.
When the drive rail were being designed, emphasis was placed on the surface quality, resistance to the accumulation of lint and the precise guidance of the clamp carriage.
