During the recent TexCare Exhibition in Frankfurt, Germany (June 2004), Kannegiesser exhibited a new cornerless feeding machine that eliminates the standard Kannegiesser clamping mechanism. Available in 1 or 2 operator designs, the EMS offers the same high feeding and transfer quality, which has become the standard for other Kannegiesser feeders.
Operation is simple. Sheets or similar items are fed to a single point by the operator within a certain tolerance of the center point of the garment. A belt system automatically adjusted to the exact center of the feeding transfer belts. Consequently, a simple reversing mechanism converts the leading edge to the trailing edge (and vice-versa), draping the sheet in the process.
Feeding Technology
The feeding machine SpreadFeed is recommended for high performance ironer lines, where high per head performance, ergonomics and quality are required. The model EMS is a 1-lane feeding machine with 1 or 2 feeding stations. The feeding principle reduces the manual feeding steps of the operators to a minimum. No searching for a corner – only one edge has to be fed and the operator can turn to the next sheet.
